英文里的问候可不只是"How are you?"

  • Nice day, isn't it?
  • Lovely weather we're having!
  • It's really hot/cold today, huh?

It's so hot that I want to stay in the air-conditioned room all day"——这样对话就流动起来了。

I'm Tom, a 7th grader who loves playing basketball. I play it with my classmates every Friday afternoon."

Hey, this is my friend Li Hua. We were in the same class last year.
I'd like you to meet my math teacher, Miss Wang.
Nice to meet you. I've heard a lot about you.

  • Sorry, could you repeat that please?
  • I don't quite understand what you mean. Could you explain it again?
  • Is it okay if I ask a quick question?
  • What does this word mean?

  • I'm not sure about that, but my guess is...
  • I think it might be... because...
  • Could it be related to...?

  • What do you think about this topic?
  • I agree with you, but also...
  • That's an interesting point. Have you considered...?
  • Let me share my opinion if you don't mind.

  • Sure, I'd love to. Where do you want to go?
  • That sounds good! What time?
Hey, want to grab lunch together?
Are you free this weekend? I thought we could study together.
How about going to the library after school?
  • Sorry, I have piano lessons. Maybe next time?
  • Wanna come over to my place this Saturday?
  • I'd like to, but I have to help my parents at home. Rain check?

    • How did you get interested in that?
    • How long have you been playing soccer?
    • What's your favorite part about it?
    • Do you think I should give it a try?

    • Really? That's interesting!
    • No way! I can't believe it.
    • That makes sense.
    • I've never thought about it that way.

    • I totally agree with you on that point.
    • That's exactly what I was thinking!
    • I couldn't agree more. You've made a great point.
    • Yeah, I see eye to eye with you on this.

    • I see what you mean, but have you considered the other side?
    • That's a fair point, but I think there might be another way to look at it.
    • I understand where you're coming from, but I'm not sure if I completely agree.
    • Personally, I tend to think differently, but I respect your opinion.

    • In my opinion/From my point of view...
    • As far as I'm concerned...
    • If you ask me, I think...
    • Personally, I believe that...

    • Could you do me a favor?
    • Would you mind helping me with this?
    • I was wondering if you could help me with something.
    • Do you have a minute? I need some help.

    • Thank you so much! I really appreciate it.
    • That's very kind of you. You've saved my day!
    • I don't know what I would have done without your help.

    • Do you need a hand with that?
    • It looks like you might need some help. Can I assist?
    • Need any help? I'm not doing anything right now.
    • Here, let me get that for you.

    • That's very kind of you, but I think I can handle it.
    • Thanks for offering, but I'm okay.
    • I appreciate the offer, but I'll be fine.

happy thrilled, overjoyed, thrilled to bits, on cloud nine
sad down in the dumps, heartbroken, devastated, feeling blue
angry furious, annoyed, irritated, fit to be tied
tired exhausted, worn out, dead tired, drained
surprised amazed, stunned, shocked, taken aback

That's awesome! I'm so happy for you! You deserve it!
Oh no, I'm really sorry to hear that. Is there anything I can do?
No way! Really? I can't believe it! Are you serious?

    • I'm so sorry I'm late. Traffic was terrible.
    • I apologize for being late. It won't happen again.
    • Thanks for waiting. I got here as fast as I could.

    • I'm so sorry, I completely forgot about that. Can we reschedule?
    • I feel terrible. It slipped my mind. When works best for you?

    • I see things differently, but I respect your opinion.
    • That's one way to look at it. I tend to think otherwise.
    • We might have to agree to disagree on this one.

    • That's a good question. Let me think for a second.
    • Hmm, I've never really thought about it that way before.
    • Give me a moment to collect my thoughts.

    • I should let you go. I'll talk to you later.
    • It's getting late. I should get going.
    • I don't want to keep you. Enjoy the rest of your day.
    • Okay, I'll see you around! Take care!

    • Anyway, I should log off. Talk to you tomorrow!
    • I've got to run. Don't stay up too late!
    • Okay, homework is calling. Catch you later!
